In 1986, the Radio Netherlands’ Transcription Service production a 13-part series on the histories of Africa, entitled “We mad a hoe and went along”.

Part 9 goes to Nairobi to give us a taste of urban life in Africa, while explaining that the rise and fall of cities is often determined by commercial ambition or downright greed.
