In 1986, the Radio Netherlands’ Transcription Service produced a 13-part series on the history of Africa, entitled “We made a hoe and went along”. 

Part 10 gives a vivid and detailed account of events which led to the Berlin Conference of 1884/1885 when it was decided to dispossess Africans of their continent.
