In 1986, the Radio Netherlands’ Transcription Service produced a 13-part series on the hisotry of Africa, entitled “We made a hoe and went along”. 

In this programme, the consequences of the Berlin Conference. As a result of the 1884/1885 conference, 14 European powers agreed to share a substantial part of the continent among themselves. We also find out what that means for African traditions today.
