
The Edison Award, the annual Dutch distinction for achievement in music, is one of the world’s oldest music awards. First presented in 1960, the Edison goes to musicians and performers in many dozens of different categories from opera to pop. In this programme, featuring Arnold Östman, Paul Hilliard, Alicia de Larrocha (1923-2009) and others, Nevil Gray presents some of the 1989 winning recordings in the classics.
