
In this special edition of our weekly science programme marking World Health Day, we focus on the growing worldwide problem of obesity. Scientists know more and more now about its causes, how to prevent it, and the dire consequences of doing nothing—as the world sees a rise in cancer, heart disease and even economic loss from the failure to stop what has now become an obesity epidemic.
