In this unedited interview, Chris Chambers talks to one of the pioneers of European integration after World War Two. Max Kohnstamm (1914-2010) was the secretary of the French founding father of the European Community, Jean Monet. It is fascinating to hear him talk about those early years and the fears, hopes, ideals he had in the post-war climate. Kohnstamm also talks engagingly about his background, his student days and the war years that shaped him.
