Berlin cabaret: The film and historical reality

This 2003 documentary was made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of the film “Cabaret” and looks at whether the portrayal of Berlin cabaret was anything like the reality of the Weimar Republic. Chris Chambers charts its rise and fall as the Nazis took power and many of the great cabaret stars were forced to flee.
