An intimate profile of Antoine de Bakker. His name in Dutch means “the baker”, and he earned his living making the machines necessary to produce Holy Communion hosts. These very thin wafers are part of one of the most sacred rituals of Roman Catholicism: the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. The programme is produced and presented by Antoine de Bakker’s daughter, Liesbeth.
