A decade and more after the former Yugoslavia fragmented in bitter conflict, many thousands of people from the region are still missing. In “Bridges of bone and blood”, Laura Durnford visits the International Commission on Missing Persons in Bosnia-Herzegovina and explores the various ways in which its scientists are helping to identify the mortal remains which continue to be discovered.
