Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was undoubtedly one of the greatest musical geniuses of all times, and one of his most famous interpreters is Dutch harpsichordist, organist and conductor of the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Ton Koopman. He is Dheera Sujan’s guest in this edition of the weekly “Siren Song”. At the time of this broadcast, Koopman had embarked upon one of the most ambitious musical recording projects of our time: all of Bach’s nearly 200 religious and secular cantatas on 66 CDs. The project was completed in 2005.
