
In June 1983, at the height of the international debate on the proposed deployment of Cruise missiles in Europe to counter the deployment of Soviet SS-20 missiles in Eastern Europe, a panel discussion was held at Amsterdam’s Free University. It was organised by International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and the list of participants was impressive:
