Now if you live in the Far North and you think you’ve spotted a polar bear rummaging through your trash or a moose wandering around your backyard, or even in the Alps, if you think you see a bear, then you are probably not imagining things. But ape-men in Delhi? Lions and pumas in Holland? The Loch Ness Monster? Big Foot?
Why is it that time and again we tell each other these hair-raising stories about monster-like creatures prowling around our modern rational lives? Is it all delusional paranoia or is there a scientific explanation for all these fears?
