Sueño americano: The American dream for Central Americans

Our reporter goes to the border between Guatemala and Mexico to observe the realities of illegal immigration from Guatemala and other Central American countries to El Norte. People need to cross Mexico first in order to arrive at their ultimate goal: the United States and the American Dream. The U.S. authorities have put pressure on Mexico to prevent more Central Americans from crossing over into their country, but this has not been highly effective. Mexico deports thousands every year, but many more make it over the border into the USA.
