Martha Hawley reports on the plight of women from developing countries in Asia (Philippines and Sri Lanka), Africa and Latin America who come to work in Europe as domestics to improve the quality of life of their relatives (and themselves) back home. They are often major foreign exchange earners for their country. But in Europe and the Middle East, they are often treated as slaves. They are sexually abused and then get kicked out. If they complain about their treatment, they are often sacked and deported.
