Anne Blair Gould visits a quarry near Maastricht where in 1998 a skeleton was found of a mosasaur, dating from the Maastrichtian, a geological period stretching from around 65-71 million years ago. A mosasaur is a giant water reptile, up to 17 metres in length, that lived at the same time as T-Rex. Anne also visits the Natural History Museum with curator, Dr. John Jagt, where more fossils from the Maastrichtian period are on display.
