Alzheimer’s disease

Some 50 million people around the world now suffer from the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease, a degeneration of the brain’s functions that occurs mostly among elderly people. So as the world population grows older, the number of Alzheimer’s patients is increasing. There is still no consensus about its causes or how to treat it, but efforts continue to find a cure.
