Research File: Science and fiction – Part 5 of 5

This programme is part of the series Research File
War of the Worlds. H. G. Wells

In the last part of a series on science and society, Mindy Ran looks at the relationship between science and fiction. So good were some fantasy writers in their predictions that even today, some scientists study their fiction for its feasibility. Especially after the scientific advances made as a result of WWII, science fiction took off. Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke and Ray Bradbury are names that come to mind. And then there were the movies.
