In this edition of our weekly science magazine Research File, our special guest is Douglas Adams (1953-2001), author of the science fiction comedy series “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. This humorous combination of art and science brings together such phenomena as mythology and highway design, life and destruction, entertainment and facts.

We also hear about the sensational discovery in northwestern Argentina of the bones of one of the oldest dinosaur ancestors ever found to date. There is also news about yet another oil tanker spill, this time off the Shetlands and the discussion surrounding our continued use of fossil fuels.
