“Out of the Blue” was a series of broadcasts produced in the mid-1970’s on the sound and development of progressive rock. This programme was recorded after the release of Roxy Music’s sixth album “Viva” in 1976 and features music and background from their first hit in 1972 to the time when the members of the band, formed by Bryan Ferry in 1971, were rumoured to be splitting up. At this time Roxy Music was seen as “the zenith of British art rock”.
