This is the final part of a 13-part series called “We Made a Hoe and Went Along” on the history of Africa. 

In this episode, the origins of apartheid in South Africa and the story of “Afrikaners” . It is a story of land expropriation and of Europeans who never understood the sanctity of land and the special relationship between the people and the land.
