Last Happy Station show

Radio Netherlands retired the world’s longest-running radio show, The Happy Station, on September 17, 1995. It was created in 1928 by Eddie Startz on Radio Netherlands’ predecessor, PCJJ, which was established to broadcast to the Dutch East Indies. Startz would host the weekly show of “smiles across the miles” till the end of the 1960’s. He was succeeded by Tom Meyer, Pete Myers and finally Jonathan Groubert.
