A vintage Radio Netherlands’ interview with a proud father in Amsterdam of five musical and artistic boys. The youngest, Christiaan, showed so much promise on the violin that by the time he was six, when this interview was made, he had already played with David Oistrakh (1908-1974) and Yehudi Menuhin (1916-1999), who offered to become his teacher. Ten years after this interview was made, teenager Christiaan had indeed become a violinist, played with the Concertgebouw Orchestra at the age of 16, studied with Jasha Heifetz (1901-1987) and has played the violin professionally all his life.

And this is six-year-old Christian on the violin accompanied by one of his brothers.
