Chris Chambers talks to Dutch author Mies Bouhuys (1927-2008), who was a successful writer of children’s stories. She was profoundly influenced by her experiences during World War Two and became even better known as a campaigner against injustice, antisemitism and in favour of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo in Argentina.
