Cyclops and dragons, vampires and mummies – monsters have been there since the days of the first storytellers. There are the monsters of nature, the monsters who are man made, the visible monsters and the monsters who look just like Mr. Smith next door. Frankenstein was just a misunderstood guy who wanted to be loved. But Hannibal the Cannibal was far more sinister because his charming exterior masked unspeakable evil. The most terrifying of them lurk just in the corner of the retina, always vanishing when you swing around to take a good look. And they are manifestations of our own hidden psyche.
