Between easel and museum: The 350th anniversary of Rembrandt’s birth

The world celebrated the 350th anniversary of the birth of Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) in 1956. In this vintage radio report, Amsterdam fine art dealer Evert Douwes (1928-2019) and the director of the municipal museum in The Hague tell us amazing stories about fake Rembrandts, auctions and the euphoria of discovering a valuable long-lost masterpiece by the greatest of all Dutch painters.
