We know humour is good for our health, but why is this so? What is the science behind the healing that comes from a good laugh? This is one of the questions science editor Anne Blair Gould tries to answer in this programme.

The speakers include:
– Dr. Peter Spitzer, MD, founder of the Humour Foundation Australia
– Professor of neurochemistry Frank “Appletree” Rodden
– Dr. Ruth Dean, University of Manitoba Faculty of Nursing
– Medical Sociologist Louise Woodward, Notinghamshire Healthcare Trust

This programme was produced by Anne Blair Gould and was first broadcast in June, 2005.
